The role of Russia and China in the Shanghai cooperation organization in the light of the institutional balance theory

The article analyzes the activities of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) and efforts China Russia to promote idea forming Greater Eurasia as a non-Western international community in order embody their geostrategic, foreign policy economic interests. Based on theory institutional balance, reveals significance SCO over past 20 years, expansion membership geographical coverage, well some problems that it faced consolidating realizing its potential.
